To help you save a trip, here's a general guide to what doesn't fit at Replay. We focus on brands with lasting quality and resale value — which means some everyday and budget labels aren't the right fit for us, even in great condition. If you're ever unsure whether something would work, feel free to bring it by — we're happy to take a look.

Department Store & Mass‑Retailer House Brands

Many big‑box and department stores sell items under their own store‑exclusive labels rather than a designer name. These generally aren't a fit for us, including brands like Sonoma, Croft & Barrow, Apt. 9, SO, Time and Tru, Terra & Sky, No Boundaries, A New Day, Universal Thread, Wild Fable, and similar store‑brand labels.

Fast Fashion Brands

We're not able to accept fast‑fashion labels, which are typically produced quickly and inexpensively and don't tend to hold their value in the secondhand market. This includes brands like Shein, Forever 21, Charlotte Russe, rue21, Rainbow Shops, and similar mall and online fast‑fashion retailers.

Shopping Channel Exclusive Brands

Brands created specifically for TV and online shopping channels — even ones with a celebrity or designer name attached — are generally not the right fit for us.

Budget Footwear & Accessory Brands

Similarly, budget‑focused footwear and accessory brands — the kind commonly found at discount and off‑price retailers — generally aren't a match for our shelves.

A Note on "New With Tags"

A handful of brands that we don't typically accept do have enough name recognition that we'll make an exception if the item is brand new, unworn, and still has its tags attached. If you have new‑with‑tags pieces you're wondering about, just bring them in — we're happy to take a look.

A Few Brands We Evaluate Case by Case

Some brands span a wide quality range depending on the specific line or collection — for example, a brand's main line versus its factory/outlet line can differ quite a bit. For these, we look at the individual piece rather than making a blanket call. If you're not sure, bring it in!

Good Rules of Thumb

If you're wondering whether a piece is likely to be a fit, ask yourself:

• Was it sold under a store's own private label rather than a brand you'd recognize elsewhere?
• Did it retail new for under $30–40?
• Was it made primarily for a discount or off‑price retailer rather than sold at the brand's own full‑price stores?

If the answer to any of these is yes, it's probably not the right fit for us — but we're always happy to take a look if you're unsure!
